September 1,1910, the Cleveland Plain Dealer documented Glenn Curtiss’ record-breaking flight of 60 miles over water from Euclid Beach to Cedar Point. The article doesn’t state how long it took, just that it was at a “rapid speed.” However, it must have been grueling since the return was not planned until the next day. |
