In general the cost for repairing blades and vanes amounts to about 20% of the cost of buying new and equipment can usually be repaired two or three times during its lifetime.
Today SIFCO has extended beyond its original markets into the Pacific Rim, Japan, New Zealand and Australia. SIFCO Ireland has won awards in recognition of its expertise. For example, they received the AIB Export Award for November 1994; Component Vendor of the Year 1991 by British Airways, and a similar award from Lufthansa.
| At the end of 1993 a new logo was designed by SIFCO employees to promote greater unity in the marketing identify of the three blade and vane repair shops. It embodies the airfoil and the name SIFCO. The engineers among us have described it as depicting an airfoil cross section, while the more poetic claim it symbolizes man's flight from earthly bounds. While we admit that the interpretation of any abstraction can be open to debate, our graphic was selected to represent the technical as well as the personal points of view. It serves as the hallmark of SIFCO's commitment to customers - a commitment that promises the best engineered products and the most personal and timely service available anywhere worldwide. |
